The Role
We're hiring a Sales Associate for a special project connecting with vendors in the electrical contracting and manufacturing space. You'll get close to how these vendors actually purchase their process, their pipeline, their pain points and use that understanding to build out strong, credible vendor profiles on our platform. This is a relationship-driven, on-the-ground role: part phone, part field.
Domain
Electrical contracting & manufacturing (B2B)
Experience
2–3 years, ideally in the electrical/manufacturing domain
Work mode
Mix of calling, CRM-based follow-up, and in-person vendor visits
Tools
Excel / Google Sheets, CRM platforms, basic analytics/reporting
What You'll Do
- Understand vendor sales processes — Connect with vendors in the electrical contracting and manufacturing space over calls and in-person visits to understand how they currently purchase, interest in rewards programs and loyalty programs.
- Drive outreach & lead calling — Call and meet relevant leads to introduce Venwiz's special project, generate interest, and convert conversations into onboarded vendors.
- Promote sales — Actively promote Venwiz within the vendor's network — positioning the platform as the natural next step for growing their business.
- Build vendor profiles — Gather accurate, structured information from vendors — capabilities, order history, certifications, key contacts — and build out complete, credible vendor profiles on the platform.
- In-person engagement — Plan and conduct on-ground visits to vendor facilities and offices where a call isn't enough — to build trust, verify details, and close on onboarding.
- Log & track in CRM — Maintain clean, current records of every vendor interaction in the CRM, and use Excel/Google Sheets to track outreach, conversion, and follow-ups.
- Report on trends — Pull basic trends from your own outreach and vendor data — response rates, conversion patterns, domain-specific insights — and feed them back to sharpen the sales strategy.
What We're Looking For
- 2–3 years of overall experience, with meaningful exposure to B2B sales, manufacturing, or the electrical domain.
- Working understanding of the B2B market — how vendors purchase, how buying decisions get made, and what motivates each side of that relationship.
- Prior exposure to electrical contracting, panels, switchgear, or related manufacturing segments is a strong plus.
- Comfortable working both phone-first and in the field — this role expects real vendor visits, not just calls.
- Hands-on with Excel and Google Sheets, and familiar with using a CRM tool to manage pipeline and follow-ups.
- Basic analytical ability — comfortable reading data, spotting patterns, and turning that into a simple report or recommendation.
- Clear communicator, comfortable building rapport quickly with people who may be skeptical of a new platform at first.
